Guests: Ryan Kugler, Executive Director & Race Director, and Noelle Norris, Los Angeles Coordinator of the Drug Free Marshals, came in to promote the 7th Annual “Say No To Drugs Run/Walk,” taking place on Sunday, December 16th. This event will raise awareness about the dangerous consequences of using drugs while promoting the like affirming benefits of living a drug free life.

Guests: Diane Wittenberg, President of the California Climate Action Registry, came in to discuss the registry and the critical need to measure and reduce our greenhouse gases to reduce the impact of global warming on the planet. She talked about the various things that we can individually do to reduce our collective carbon footprints i.e. flexible use of energy, choosing alternative fuels for automobiles, etc.

Guests: Leif Green, Event Director of AIDS Walk Los Angeles, came in to promote the upcoming walk taking place on Sunday, October 21st. This major fundraising event helps to raise awareness about aids infections in our community & the continuing need for prevention & education as well as to raise funds to provide medical services to those who cannot afford it.

Guests: Dr. Kita S. Curry, President & CEO of Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center, came in to talk about the pervasive problem of mental illness in our society & the prevailing stigma associated with a diagnosis that prevent a lot of people, particularly young people, from seeking treatment. She also talked about suicide & their prevention services including crisis hotline.
