She also promoted the theatre production “Ray Charles Live” currently playing at the Pasadena Playhouse that she is Assistant Director on.

Guest: Eric Bozzi, Vice President of Star Education at the Star Echo Station in Culver City, discussed the new emphasis on “Green themes” in different mediums including Television. He focused the environmental education programs offered to school aged children and their efforts to assist in bringing up the test scores of students in Title-I schools. He also talked about the logistical support the station provided to rescue and house displaced wildlife during the recent wild fires in Southern California. He also promoted the up-coming “Trash To Treasure” Programs in conjunction with the Department of Conservation.

Guest: Jennifer Trevithick, West Coast Regional Manager for Samaritan’s Purse International, was here to discuss their “Operation Christmas Child”, which is a project that provides more than eight million suffering children in more than ninety countries with a gift-filled shoe box. For many of the children it will be the first gift they have ever received. She also talked about their huge relief efforts for victims of the recent wild fires in Southern California.

Guest: Andrea Shelly, Member of the National Board and Founder of the Orange County chapter of FRAXA Research Foundation, described the disease which is the most common form of inherited mental impairment. She explored some of the symptoms and asserted her reasons fir the under diagnosis. The learning disabilities associated range from ADHD to a mild form of Autism. She also talked about an upcoming fundraising Fashion Show.

Guest: Janice Kamenir-Reznick, President/Founder of Jewish World Watch, discussed their mission to mobilize synagogues, their schools, members and the community to combat genocide and other egregious violations of human rights around the world. She shed light on their Olympic Dream for Darfur, global advocacy campaign and its goal to secure protection for the 2.5 million people who’ve been displaced in Darfur by leveraging the relationship that China [home of the next Olympic Games] has with Sudan which uniquely positions them to exert real and consequential influence to help resolve the crisis in Darfur.
