Guest: Dr. Pearl E. Grimes, Founder/Executive Director of The Coalition for At Risk Youth [CARRY], discussed her organizations which is dedicated to changing the lives of foster youth suffering from debilitating sin disorders and physical illnesses. And ‘carry’ them to a healthy, secure and nurturing place. The group also offers financial assistance for education, counseling and career development. Dr. Grimes also talked about their upcoming holiday plans and solicited volunteer mentors for the program.

Guest: Fitness Expert Michael Torchia was here to discuss his one man mission to help turn the tide of obesity and metabolic syndrome around in the US through his latest project, “Operation Fitness”. He talked about some of the basic elements of a healthier lifestyle that parents and children can begin implementing to make big changes in their life that will improve their weight and health. He also promoted the major health and fitness program hell be involved with as part of the Teen Strength and Fitness Challenge on February 17th at the LA Convention Center.

Guests: David J. Walker, Author of You Are Enough: Always Have Been, Always Will Be, came in to discuss his book that teaches how everyone can appreciate the sacredness of their existence and to realize that what we do isn’t as important as what we are. His life changing philosophy allows people to breakout of the self-restricting thought patterns that hold them back.
Segment IV – 11:50pm- 12:00am
Guest: Michael Craig from “Comfort Keepers,” discussed the full range of care and services that reduce physical emotional stress as well as maximize the quality of life, for individuals who require home care. He also stressed the importance of family and community support to maintain as much independence as possible at end of life, and/or during rehabilitation from debilitating illness.
