Guest: Sister Edith Pendergrass, Director of the Office of Religious Education of the Los Angeles Archdiocese, discussed the 2008 Religious Education Congress which will be held the first week in March at the Anaheim Convention Center.  Congress is the nation's largest annual gathering of Roman Catholics with 40,000 in Attendance last years event brought together 40,000+ over the four-day weekend and featured a variety of topics –Congress 2008 will offer nearly 200 speakers presenting 300 sessions, from personal growth to music to spiritual topics – in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Korean. Representing Many Cultures – Congress annually offers a number of liturgies of different character and13 Eucharistic Liturgies including African Black Culture, Contemplative, Nigerian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Celtic, Jazz, and Young Adult – as well as evening prayer, prayer of peace and Lamentation prayer services.

Guest: Camile Levee, Executive Director of Glendale Healthy Kids, discussed this healthcare program which provides access to medical, dental and mental health services to low income children who are uninsured or underinsured, most of whom would not receive medical care if it were not for the volunteer medical professionals who donate their time and expertise. She also promoted the upcoming fundraising event, “A Taste of Downtown Glendale” a great family event that mobilizes the entire community around the belief that taking care of our children is an investment in the future of our community
