While there are many ways you can protect your children from the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, talking with them is one of the most effective. Your constant and caring involvement can help inspire your child to make healthy, drug-free choices.

Guest: Barbara Napper, Event Planning Chair of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, discussed two upcoming Community Health Fairs that 10 chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are planning collectively.  One will be in the Los Angeles Area on March 8, 2008 from 9am-2pm at Belmont Baptist Church in Los Angeles...and the other will be on May 3rd 2008 in the Valley Area at Kennedy High School.  There will be presentations, health screenings, booths and immunizations that will be free for the whole family.

Segment IV 11:35pm – 12:00am  

Guest: Craig E. Thompson, Executive Director, AIDS Project LA and Theatrical Director, David Galligan, discussed the many challenges faced by those living with HIV/AIDS in our community. They also promoted the upcoming, 24th Annual S.T.A.G.E. event, "Blame It On Bacharach!” The proceeds will assist APLA in providing direct services and HIV/AIDS prevention education throughout LA County. The benefit features big names in theater, television, film and cabaret who donate their time and talent to the star-studded event. This year’s Producers Award will be presented to actress Doris Roberts and to community activist Brenda R. Freiberg for their long-standing personal commitment to world wide battle against HIV/AIDS.
