Guest: Robin Smalley, Co-Founder/International Director, Mothers2Mothers, a group that provides psycho-social and medical services to Pregnant women and new mothers in Africa and empowers them to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS.  The program educates women on how to prevent transmission to their unborn children and ensure that children who are diagnosed survive this tragedy.  M2M identifies new HIV positive mothers, trains them to support and educate their peers about life saving treatment, and returns them to maternity wards and clinics as “Mentor Mothers”.

Guest: Gwen Young, Dr. Sonal Pattel, from the American Lung Association discussed the organization's State of the Air: 2008 Report in which twenty-six California Counties Receive "F" Grades while nineteen Counties received "A" Grades.  They discussed a variety of factors that contribute to poor air quality and detailed the ways in which citizens can take responsibility and do their part to make a positive difference.

Segment - III  11:45pm —12:00am

Guest: Dennis Washburn, Executive Director of the Foundation for Pierce College and Robert McBroom, Their Farm Center Director, discussed their Farmers Market and this years crop of baseball size strawberries along with oranges and avocados to the community.  They also talked about their outreach to school children throughout LAUSD as a part of a nutritional campaign on healthy eating alternatives.  The farm also provides refuge to all animals, horses and other creatures during Southland fire season. Proceeds benefit their farm for ongoing growth in areas of wildlife conservation, farming and other areas of agriculture.
