KTWV 94.7 THE WAVE’s Sales Department is recruiting INTERNS! THE WAVE’s Internship Program provides a professional and educational experience as it exposes interns to various facets of the radio industry. THE WAVE is a division of CBS RADIO… a leader in the broadcast entertainment industry!
DESCRIPTION:
This program will give the successful intern candidate the opportunity to be exposed to all facets of media sales and radio station operations.
This non-paid internship will allow the intern to work directly with THE WAVE’s advertising sales department personnel on a variety of different projects – with additional interaction with and exposure to the other departments of the radio station (programming, promotions, traffic and finance). Intern will attend regularly scheduled sales meetings if schedule permits.
THE WAVE encourages teamwork and leadership while providing an educational experience for students with a passionate interest for business development and the radio industry.
All interns at THE WAVE must receive college credit and will receive no other compensation. Interns must provide a letter from the college indicating the number of credits they will receive for completing the internship.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
· Assisting Sales Managers
· Working directly Account Executives
· Helping with client proposals & projects
· Downloading air checks
· Internet Research
· Filing, typing and general clerical duties
REQUIREMENTS:
· Business or Communications major preferred
· Organized
· Responsible
· Proactive
· Interacts well with people
· Computer skills: proficient in MS Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel
· Must show proof of enrollment in college internship program for college credit
